The Sequencer, Pads & Keyboard

Sequencer — A 16‑step grid for beats & melodies.

  • Rows: Kick, Snare, Hat, Synth, Vox.
  • Columns (Steps): 16 steps ≈ one bar.
  • How: Click cells to place notes. Press ▶ Play to hear them as the playhead moves.
  • Layers A/B/C/D: Make variations you can swap between.

Pads & Keyboard — perform live.

  • Drum Pads: instant drums.
  • Instrument Pads: locked to the chosen musical scale.
  • Piano Keys: click on‑screen keys or use your computer keyboard (labels in footer).
3 Panels

Mixer

  • Adjust Volume & Pan for each track.
  • Use Mute / Solo to focus.
  • Layer Tabs A/B/C/D = different mix per pattern.
3 Panels

Synth Engine

  • Wave: Square (buzzy) • Sine (smooth) • Saw (bright).
  • Envelope (A/D/S/R): Attack = start speed, Release = fade length.
  • Filter Cutoff: lower for darker, muffled tones.
3 Panels

Scale / Arp

  • Root & Scale: choose note (e.g., C) and mode (e.g., Natural Minor).
  • Instrument Pads snap to the scale so you can’t play a wrong note.
  • Arpeggiator: hold multiple keys to auto‑cycle notes.
3 Panels

Auto Synth

  • Load Melody to import a .json melody file.
  • Play / Stop runs independently from the main sequencer.
